Share anything in
Souvenance sits in the share sheet of Safari, Photos, Contacts, Calendar, Maps and
Files. Links, text, photos and videos, contacts, events, places, PDFs and any other
file land in the Inbox of your boxes, with their date, source and location already
filled in. On the Mac, drop files in the Finder or use Services.
Or capture it in the app
Write a note, build a small table, pick photos from your library, take a photo, record
a voice memo, sketch with Apple Pencil, paste a link, add a person from Contacts, add
a date, or subscribe to a calendar so its events keep flowing in.
Memories
A Memory is a folder for a moment: a trip, a project, a birthday, the people you call.
See it as a list, a photo album, a map, a graph, a board you arrange by hand, or a
story that reads from the first day to the last. A first Memory, a week by the sea,
is in the box when you start, so you can see what the app does before you add a thing.
Relate
Tie items together the way you remember them: this photo contains Anna, that note was
written at the café, this table is the source for the plan. Add a reaction with an
emoji. The Relate tab draws your boxes as a graph you can explore.
Choose what a tap does
Every item can be given an action: call Anna, message Sam, directions to the house,
open the appointment in Calendar, open a link, or a custom link of your own. The
choice leads the item's card in History, and it travels with the Memory when you send
it to someone.
On your Home Screen
The Chosen items widget puts the items you pick on the Home Screen as tiles, small or
large, with large labels if you like. Each tile does what you chose for it. A son can
prepare a Memory with photos of the grandchildren, a date and the way home, send it as
a package, and his father has it on his Home Screen, one tap from a call. Lock Screen
and Control Center buttons add a note, a photo or a voice memo.
Share a Memory as a Page
A Page is one file with the Memory's photos and notes that opens in any browser, no app
needed, with "Made with Souvenance" at the foot. Make a Page for someone by name as a
gift, or send the whole Memory as a .mem package to someone with the app; it arrives
with its photos, notes, relations and chosen actions.
Smart Memories
Describe a Memory with rules instead of moving things by hand: every photo tagged
"garden", everything from the last 30 days, every note that mentions a name. Smart
Memories update themselves. Part of Memories for Life.
Places from your photos
A photo with location data is matched to the places you already have, or Souvenance
proposes a new one. Looking up place names is off until you turn it on, so nothing
leaves your device by default.
Files, not a database
Every item is an ordinary file in a folder, with a small sidecar holding its details.
Delete the app and your photos, notes and PDFs are still readable by anything. There is
no proprietary library to export from.
iPhone, iPad and Mac
On iPad the tabs become a sidebar, with drag and drop between apps, Split View, Stage
Manager and Apple Pencil on the board and in sketches. On the Mac the same app opens
your boxes as a folder, with Quick Look for shared Memories, Services and a menu bar
item. One purchase covers all three.
Accessible, in your language
VoiceOver, Voice Control, Larger Text and Reduce Motion throughout, including the graph
and the board. The app is available in English, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German,
Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish, and follows the language of your
device.
Private by design
No account, no analytics, no server of ours. Your boxes live on your device, and in
your own iCloud Drive only if you turn that on. The only other network use is Apple
Maps for the map views and, if you choose to turn it on, looking up place names. See
the privacy policy.
Collecting, relating and sharing are free, with up to three Memories. Memories for Life is
a single purchase, not a subscription, and Family Sharing covers the whole family. It
unlocks Memories without limit, the Board, the Story as a PDF or in print, Smart Memories,
and your boxes in your own iCloud Drive on every device. The price is shown in the app and
on the App Store. See also three ways to give Souvenance.
